Weldmesh Flat
Description
Weldmesh Flat panels are manufactured with built in rigidity, by welding wires flat on flat, flat on edge, or edge on edge. These three variations in wire orientation result in different panel strength characteristics.
General use
|
Weldmesh Flat offers an alternative material to those industries currently fabricating products from expanded, perforated, pressed or woven metals, offering a range of benefits which are unsurpassed by any of one of these materials. The idea came from trying to find an answer to how mesh could be produced to combine lightness with strength. Testing of potential products showed that the bending moment of a flat wire on edge is signifi- cantly greater than that of a round wire, giving Weldmesh Flat a much higher strength to a weight ratio than round wire mesh, thereby opening up the possibility of a much wider range of uses for welded mesh.
